Our favorite port of the cruise was St Marten. Infact, we didn't even get off the ship in the other 2 ports.
We went to a place called Sunset Beach. Since the airport in St Marten is so short and just happens to sit right up next to this beach, it has one of the top ten most dangerous runways in the world.
This surfboard stands in the restaurant just off the beach and lists all the daily flights.
This sign is hangs on the chain linked fence just across the street from the restaurant and beach.
The sign meant nothing to my boys and a couple other tourists seeking a thrill.
I'm not quite sure how I missed the bum crack when I took this picture :)
This American Airlines jet is about to take off.
And this must be what the sign is warning us about. The power of the jet was amazing. Sand pelted those in its path. Any unsuspecting beach-goers, beach towels, umbrellas or anything else ended up rolling down the small beach into the ocean. So funny to watch! We did it all day long.
The planes landing came in so low it seemed you could touch the bottom. Unfortunately, this picture doesn't do it justice. Our favorite was the giant Air France Air Buss that landed. I was so mesmerized by its size that it didn't even dawn on me to think of taking a picture.
Nick was excited for a new facebook profile picture. Not sure if it was because of the jet in the background or because he was flexing his abs :) LOVE you Nickster!
Good times! Good times!

Oh my gosh. These are the coolest pictures! The bum crack made me so happy. Hopefully that guy didn't get any sand in there. That could have been a painful wipe, you know?
And why did Nick get the best abs in this family? It really is unfair.
