A Day in New York City

I am playing CATCH UP on these next few posts...but they were too much fun to leave out.

For THANKSGIVING we took our kids on a Carribean Cruise.  Traveling standby isn't easy during the holidays.  We had to get creative about actually getting to Fort Lauderdale in time to board our ship.  We found a route that happened to take us to New York City for the day and decided to make the most of it!

Our day started out with a bike ride in Central Park.

Poor Annie got pretty banged up riding tandom with her dad :)

Made a quick stop at the American Museum of Natural History

Next stop...FAO Schwartz Toy Store
While James & Nick played the song from the movie "BIG"...
a crowd gathered to watch and offered applause when they finished.

Nick was eyeing the chocolate covered twinkies in the candy section.
Ryan was in HEAVEN once we entered the LEGO store.

This is the Empire State Building from the ground floor.
And here is a picture from the top floor.

Next...Phantom of the Opera

We loved it!!!

Last stop...our favorite deli...

Jim's favorite...Pastromi on Rye...

Taking a bite out of one of Roxy's sandwiches isn't as easy as it looks  :)

Love it.

Your photos are fantastic and your family is ridiculously good looking. But Lauri dear, you're too skinny. I think you need a few chocolate covered twinkies. ;)

Wow - what a great vacation. Aren't you happy the weather was so good. Glad you went when you did instead of a few weeks later when they had 23 inches of snow and canceled 2000 flights.
