First Snow Fall

I find it fitting our first annual snow fall always happens right around HALLOWEEN.
The possibility of snow HAUNTS you for days until a FRIGHTFUL wind starts to HOWL through the trees that beckons dark MONSTROUS clouds to CREEP into the valley.
Rustling leaves CACKLE as they skip across the icy pavement and summon the first flake to fall.
At first glimpse of morning snow a sense of gloom starts to settle in
as it tempts me to crawl back under my covers and hibernate for the entire winter.
BUT...then the sun comes out...
...creating a glitter that sparkles so intensely it blinds any shadow of doom.
It's as if Tinkerbell herself has sprinkled the fresh powder with fairy dust
that magically illuminates colors so vivid it melts my dread into glee.
Though our Carrigan "Tinkerbell" stage has come and gone,
an extra treat will be given to all the little fairies that come around Halloween night.

Listen up here, Edgar Poe. This was a TREAT to read.

You are a poet AND a photographer! And a babe with a nub finger.
