Ice Capades

Every Winter, one of the Carrigan's old next door neighbors makes this INCREDIBLE ice skating rink in his back yard. He spends countless hours at night spraying it with the hose and tending to every little chip in the ice to make just right. Jim remembers going over to the Shields with all of his high school buddies and playing hockey for hours. It has definitely become a HIGHLIGHT for our family to go over with Jim's sisters and their kids every year around New Years. The kids skate, play hockey, roast marshmallows, and swing on this huge tree swing that comes out over the ice. BIG THANKS to the Shields!!! What a fun tradition.

Looks like so much fun! I remember when we went that one year, and thought that was the coolest thing!

I do remember that too Maryann. One of the most fun winter activities we've ever done!
